Internet Security in Vietnam and Forecasts
In Security World 2008 conference, PhD. Nguyen Viet The, Head of the Department of Profession Computing Technology, the General Department of Technology under the Ministry of Police, said that the pressing issue of internet security in 2007 derived from the unproper attention of agencies, enterprises and organisations to the matter of internet security, so their fund for internet security is limited.
Security World boosts awareness of online security
Another notable keynote presentation was "Managing Risk through Effective Threat Management" by Sukhdev Singh, senior security consultant and technical manager at IBM Internet Security Systems ASEAN. Singh stressed that IT and business leaders should re-assess their defence strategies and adapt to the new threat environment. Various other experts in virus prevention, data loss protection and security solutions also discussed their experiences with the latest challenges and trends in network security, throughout the world and in Vietnam.
Strengthening Internet security measures
Last year Vietnam’s Internet security was placed on a state of red alert as hackers became more professional and dangerous, said Nguyen Viet The, head of the Informatics Technology Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

An ninh – Bảo mật ngày càng “nóng”
Ông Nicholas Vreugdenhil, Giám đốc điều hành tại Việt Nam của hãng Nortel, nhận định thị trường an ninh-bảo mật thông tin cho doanh nghiệp tại Việt Nam đang rất lớn và đầy tiềm năng. Bởi các doanh nghiệp nước ngoài có hệ thống an ninh tốt khi hợp tác cùng doanh nghiệp Việt Nam cũng sẽ yêu cầu có hệ thống tương ứng. Các doanh nghiệp, thay vì khắc phục khi có sự cố an ninh mạng thì nên có hệ thống bảo mật ngay từ đầu; nên nắm lấy cơ hội siêu kết nối với các giải pháp an ninh toàn vẹn, bảo đảm cho mạng doanh nghiệp có thể thích ứng với những mối đe dọa mới, luôn thay đổi. Bản chất của siêu kết nối là một kết nối có thể sử dụng cho nhiều dịch vụ khác nhau (thoại, dữ liệu...) và kết nối ở nhiều nơi khác nhau. Vì thế, Nortel đã có giải pháp, một mạng lưới an ninh nhiều tầng, để bảo vệ cơ sở mạng, ngăn chặn virus hoặc những kẻ phá hoại…
Hệ thống tin học chứng khoán: hacker rình ngoài cửa
Theo ông Nguyễn Tử Quảng, Giám đốc Trung tâm An ninh mạng (BKIS) thì trong năm 2008, virus vẫn là vấn đề gây trở ngại lớn nhất đối với người dùng máy tính. Ngoài ra, vấn đề an ninh hệ thống máy tính trong hoạt động chứng khoán cũng được cảnh báo.
Năm 2007: VN thiệt hại 2.400 tỷ đồng do virus máy tính
Năm 2007 đã chứng kiến diễn biến an ninh thông tin mạng bất ổn định cả ở Việt Nam và các nước khác trên thế giới. Theo khảo sát trên 1.400 công ty trên toàn thế giới do McAfee hợp tác cùng Datamonitor cho thấy: 67% công ty từng bị thất thoát những dữ liệu mật, gây ra hậu quả nghiêm trọng, trong đó 33% cho biết họ đã gặp một sự cố bảo mật có thể khiến công ty phải đóng cửa; 23% số vụ thất thoát dữ liệu có nguyên nhân chủ ý phá hoại. Các công ty dành ngân sách trung bình 1.82 triệu đô để đương đầu với các vấn đề thất thoát dữ liệu, mua công nghệ để cứu dữ liệu, và xây dựng lại quan hệ khách hàng.
Bảo mật thông tin: “Vấn đề chính là sự thiếu hiểu biết!”
”Bảo mật an toàn thông tin không nên chỉ được nhìn nhận như một vấn đề kỹ thuật”.
